It would be sooooooo awesome to own one of the most expensive cars in the world … until this happens.
There are bad days, and then there are BAD days — and then there is the day that you crash your Ferrari (one of the rarest, most expensive Maranello models that exists, no less) — that clocks in at a cool $31 million.
Yeah, that’s just a really, reeeeeeaaaaallly bad … day.
Try not to immediately drop dead the second that you contemplate it, but the model is one of only about 39 other Ferrari 250 GTOs of its like in existence.
Last weekend, U.S. entrepreneur Chris Cox suffered the cash-heavy crack-up at a parade of the super-rare Ferrari 250 GTOs in France. The pricey parade led right up to the Le Mans Classic.
Cox’s wife also broke her leg and two people aboard the other car involved in the costly crash were hospitalized.
We are very, very grateful to hear that no one died in the wealth-sucking wreck (other than perhaps our ability not to throw up when thinking about how much money went into Le Bidet in the streets of France last weekend).
No word yet on whether the dream car can be reconstructed.
