Did you know that every 40 seconds a car is stolen in the U.S., according to FBI statistics? Well if you didn’t, I’m sure you’re glad you have a Viper security system now.
(And if you don’t, shame on you!!!!)
Sadly for many car owners, thieves seem to have a taste for luxury. With the top three cars on the most stolen luxury cars list being: The Chrysler 300 in third — of 31,287 made 143 were stolen in 2009 — and in second place, the BMW M5 — with two stolen out of 264 units created in 2009. Topping the list in the No. 1 spot is the Audi S8: With only 227 produced, 2 were stolen, making the theft rate 8.81 per one thousand units manufactured, according to the most recent FBI data.
I’m sure many of you are considering downsizing to that modest, mid-sized Toyota Camry, but unfortunately that won’t do you any good either. As most Viper fans no doubt know, the Camry takes the cake for the most stolen car in America.
No matter how you slice it, whether you drive the nicest car on the block, or the most reliable, you will want the assurance that no one will dare to come close.
You want to know who else made the “Luxury Car Top 10,” don’t you?
Well, rounding out the list are:
4. Nissan Infiniti M35/M45
5. General Motors Cadillac STS
6. Mercedes-Benz CL-Class
