Archives For car

Wow.

That’s … a little embarrassing there, buddy.

A recent ridiculous shot from Jalopnik.com captures one of those ridiculed-for-life moments, and offers some sound advice: Look, if you ever want to steal a car, make sure the owner can’t hit a button and trap you inside — and also try to NOT be slobbering drunk and shirtless.

(And try not to throw up all over the place once they haul you out.)

A BMW owner’s wife heard his car alarm going off, and the owner promptly stepped outside, remote locked his car and trapped the offender, and snapped a couple pics.

The mumbling shirtless moron told cops he thought is was his FRIEND’S car.

Yup … well, maybe he even did.

Read the whole story from Jalopnik.com.

To quote one of our Facebook fans: “Would love to buy that when I get my license.”

[Quick shout out to you there, Michael Herdman.]

And boy, wouldn’t we all? (Although must of us reading this probably have our driver’s license.)

We’ve saved this one in the can for you for awhile, Viper fans: Check out this recent Viper Window Film install on a sick black Jaguar here at Viper headquarters in Vista, Calif.

Big props to the Viper techs here, the Snake Pit guys, as always:

Whoops, sorry dad, that is like, sooooooo not hot!

After a night out on the town visiting the poshest eateries in West Hollywood with dad, Paris Hilton climbed into her expensive car and …

Weeee-oooo  weeee-oooo weeee-oooo!!!

The lights were flashing, the sound deafening — and dad was looking on laughing.

Totally unable to shut her pricey car alarm off, the video below shows her pulling away with the alarm still sounding.

[Hey Paris … call us! With one quick push of a button, you could have shut that sucker down.]

This sick 1986 Porsche 928S has one of our Viper 500HF alarms installed, a 551T remote start, and 530T window control modules. Also, two 513T mini piezo sirens (pain generators).

Check out this new video demonstrates the owner’s ability to snap the luxury car’s windows open and shut at the touch of a button … awesome right?

Just a flick of the wrist and the windows roll up! Watch it now and let us know what you think :)

We definitely hope that you didn’t miss this Motor Trend Radio spot from June 9, Viper fans.

If you did, let’s catch you up!

Directed president Mike Simmons stopped by for a quick chat on the “Truck Trend Hour” with host Alan Taylor about the recent release of the Viper SmartStart 3.0 mobile app.

Taylor, who has a Viper SmartStart installed on his truck, gave the product a great review and recommended it other truck owners, anyone interested in controlling their car from their smartphone or in the cloud-connected car.

Some other highlights:

Host Alan Taylor: “I love my remote start, I have been a big fan of these for many years … I think I am on my third Viper remote start for different vehicles.”

Mike Simmons: “We have an army of engineers that take literally every car that comes off the line — every trim level; every year, make and model — we bring the car into our shop, get underneath the dash and tap into the computer of the car and really understand that data words that are coming out of the car.”

Alan Taylor: “Be able to start [your car] in inclement weather, or hot weather, and have it ready for you to be able to get in to a warm or cooled-off car. I like it, I have it on my truck.”
