CES is over but now we have the Detroit Auto Show!

Probably the best source for all the goings-on in the Motor City if you can’t be there is found on Autoblog’s dedicated section for the NAIAS.

Everyone’s been hyping the new Corvette, but we’ve already discussed that.

Our focus has been on the concept cars, like Toyota’s Furia, the Honda Urban and Lincoln’s MKC, among others.

Check back at the Viper blog and also make sure to follow all the action here.

The top choice from the L.A. Auto Show for the editors at Autoblog is (drum roll, please) the Porsche Cayman.

They go so far as to say it’s THE Porsche to buy — and not the 911.

Crazy, huh?

But take a look (at the specs and features). All around, an amazing vehicle.

Keep in mind, the editors did take some time to describe how the L.A. Auto Show often “gets shafted on ultra-hot reveals simply because it falls directly between a major European auto show (either Paris or Frankfurt, depending on the year)” and the Detroit Auto Show.

Maybe not the same could be said for the other choices, but hey, it’s all about the criteria. Check out the full list here — rounding out the other choices in the “Top Five L.A. Auto Show Debuts” were:

No. 2: 2014 Jaguar XFR-S

No. 3: 2014 Ford Fiesta ST

No. 4: 2014 Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Black Series

No. 5: 2013 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 10th Anniversary Edition
