The future of mobile technology could very well end up being contained in your car. The only problem is, are you not shopping for a new car anytime soon? Do you still want some of that same mobile technology in your current car?
Well, if you’re in that particular situation you may be especially excited about this new innovation!
Intraphex, formerly Directus, is launching a car kit that will allow you to mirror your iPhone apps on a vehicle’s video screen. The company has developed proprietary technology separate from that in MirrorLink for its S.I.D. (Smartphone Integration Device). Kids can just plug in their iPhones and play the games from their phone on the screen in the back of the car!
“Mom can send videos to the back seat and you are not limited to specific apps. For every app, you see the same interface on the scree,” Intraphex CTO Don Zaeny told CE Outlook.
Sounds cool, huh!
It should retail for $499 and will include the interface, wiring harness and HDMI cable. It will not, however, allow you to control the apps via your car’s touchscreen.
So if you’re not looking to purchase a brand new car for the mobile technology — you may want to consider one of these car device Mirrors!
